Katey was born and bred in Westport and after living away for many years, returned home to settle with her three young children in early 2020. Katey studied Law at Canterbury University and was admitted to the bar in 2006. She also has a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting.
Katey has worked in a number of legal firms overseas and in New Zealand, and was also Group Financial Officer for Buller Holdings for a number of years. Katey received her practising certificate as a registered Lawyer in New Zealand in 2021. She has always had a passion for the legal system and is keen to get involved in any and all areas of the Law.
Katey is excited to be back in Westport and is enjoying the lifestyle the town offers for her and her children. She enjoys sports, family and friends and spending time at the beach with her kids and dog.
